If you have an app that runs on Windows 10, 7, or XP, it is tempting to “just keep it running”. In reality, legacy builds often cost more than a modern rebuild.

Why legacy builds are expensive

  • Older compilers/toolchains and dependencies may not be available or supported.
  • Testing is harder — we may need to live-test on your machine.
  • Compatibility work increases risk and time.

Our recommended route

Build for Windows 11 or Linux and migrate the data across. This is usually safer, more secure, and cheaper.
